News Featuring Rehabilitation Training for Young Children
A young service user’s parents from SAHK’s Shek Kip Mei Pre-school Centre were invited by NowTV to share their experience of caring a child with premature birth complications. The Association’s teacher and therapist also shared the strategies of training and teaching young children with special needs in the programme.
Now 3-year-old, Wan Wan was preterm born at 23 weeks and 4 days and suffered from cerebral palsy which led to developmental delay. She was admitted to Shek Kip Mei Pre-school Centre of the Association since November 2015. Ms Chow Sze Wan, class teacher of Wan Wan explained that big improvement was found in Wan Wan for the last few months. She also demonstrated the daily training strategies for young children in the programme.
