一手一腳藝術展 An Art Exhibition held at Vessel Kwun Tong (Chinese only)

The "一手一腳藝術展" (Chinese only) was organised by the Association's Adult Service was successfully concluded on 31 August at Vessel at Kwun Tong Promenade. The exhibition featured a variety of artworks created by our service users including ceramics, paintings, photography and other categories, as well as. a workshop which attracted participants to try out ceramics together with service users.

AU, Chairperson of Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities, Membership for Grants Sub-committee; Mr FONG Cheung-fat, JP, Deputy Chairperson of Arts Development Fund for Persons with Disabilities, Membership for Grants Sub-committee; Mr. LEUNG Po Wah, Taddy, District Social Welfare Officer (Kwun Tong), Social Welfare Department Kwun Tong District Social Welfare Office; Mr. TSANG Wing Fai, Member of Kwun Tong District Council; Mr. Benjamin WONG, Acting Chairperson of Adult Service Management Committee of the Association; Ms Jacqueline CHOW, Member of Adult Service Management Committee of the Association and Ms Winnie HUI, Head of Adult Service of the Association presented and supported. At the ceremony, the Association's service users played the electronic keyboard, shared their experience in saori weaving craftsmanship, and held a fashion show to showcase their finished products. A total of 8 service users from LOHAS Garden, one of the the Association’s Adult Service units, acted as models to present their blue-dyed garments including indigo-dyed shirts, hats, mobile phone bags, and tote bags, etc. Their performance not only drew applause and cheers from the audiences, but also brought the atmosphere of the ceremony to a climax. In addition, they also demonstrated their craftsmanship and aesthetic sense, which is not limited by physical barriers, in order to be appreciated by the pubic and to achieve inclusion.

Thanks to CASETiFY for sending more than ten volunteers to participate in the event. In addition to staying with our service users throughout the ceremony, they had tea time after the event to showcase the spirit of inclusion in a meaningful way.
