ADHD Sharing Session and – ‘Homeworker’ a New Homework Management Service Was Launched in October

The Association held a ADHD related seminar - 《感覺統合及動作策劃介入與ADHD孩子成長》暨服務經驗分享會(Chinese only) on 28 September. We were honoured to have Dr. Teresa A. May-Benson, an internationally renowned expert in sensory integration, as the guest speaker to give a keynote speech on the topic, so as to enable participants to have a deeper understanding of the relationship between sensory integration and ADHD. The seminar attracted 280 occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, healthcare staff, psychologists, teachers, parents and tertiary institute students.

During the sharing session, the Association was delighted to announce the opening of the new service by the Child Development Centre which will provide one-stop ADHD support services and "Homeworker”, a homework management class for the needy. Dr Teresa A. May-Benson, guest speaker, Ms Winnie W. C. LEUNG, the Chairperson of the Children and Family Support Service Management Committee (CFSSMC), Mrs. Leanne H. Y. LU CHU, the Vice chairperson of the CFSSMC, Ms. Ingrid W. C. LEUNG, committee member of the CFSSMC, Mr. Kenneth K. L. LEE, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Ms Dawn S.F. TANG, Head (Children and Family Support Service) held a simple but grand opening ceremony for the new service.

Later, a sharing session was held to introduce the contents and effectiveness of the 聲伴童行 (Chinese only), a Voice Over Skills Training Programme” and "溫習達人" (Chinese only), a homework management programme. In addition, Ms LEUNG Siu Ha and Mr. WONG Kai Cheong, veteran voice over artiste, together with the a young voice over actor shared anecdote about voice over and hosted the premiere of the short video of ‘阿慈的長跑大作戰’(Chinese only). After the event, each participant received a "溫習達人"(Chinese only) magic card, designed and produced by the Association’s "溫習達人" team as souvenir.
