Enhance Teaching Quality and Share CE Achievements
The Association’s three special schools adopted the Conductive Education (CE) principles to design course content and teaching methods, and regularly share CE practical experiences in order to enhance the quality of teaching and training.
Earlier, Ko Fook Iu Memorial School, B M Kotewall Memorial School and Jockey Club Elaine Field School co-organised a Joint School Teachers’ Development Day. The number of participants in the CE sharing session was close to 200, including teachers and professional colleagues from the three schools. The conference began with a speech by Ms Louise W. Y. YIP, Deputy Chief Executive Office of the Association. She shared the current situation of CE adoption by the three schools.
After that, it was the turn of 15 representatives from the three schools (including Dr. Patrick K. K. SZE, Principal of Ko Fook Iu Memorial School, Ms Zoe W. Y. LAI, Principal of B M Kotewall Memorial School and Ms YUEN Shuk Man, DeputyPrincipal of Jockey Club Elaine Field School, etc.) shared the experience and insights of each school's implementation of CE in the five areas of CE in Classroom, CE in Routine, CE in Outing, CE in Rehabilitation and CE in Management. Finally, Mr. Chris K. H. Kan, the Association’s Chief Programming Officer and Senior Physiotherapist concluded.
