Work in Mainland, Taiwan and Macau

To celebrate the Association’s 55th Anniversary, the Association organised a series of events and programmes throughout the year. Led by Ms Josephine M. W. Tsui Pang, Chairperson of the Association, 15 council members, executives and professional staff member attended a 5-day study visit to Beijing, with the aim of broadening the visions and knowledge of the participants and enhancing the quality of rehabilitation services through experience sharing.

The delegation visited various government departments and rehabilitation institutions, including the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Education, the China Society for Social Workers, the China Disabled Persons’ Federation, and the School of Social Sciences at Tsinghua University. Through the study tour, the participants gained better understanding of rehabilitation service development, equipments and the needs in Mainland. The Association hoped to strengthen the professional training, skill and service exchange of the two places so as to facilitate more collaboration and to foster the future development of rehabilitation service.
