Work in Mainland, Taiwan and Macau
Invited by the World Vision, the Association organised a three day attachment programme on 'Vocational Training for Adolescents' for 15 rehabilitation practitioners from Mainland China in May. The participants toured the Shine Skills Centre (Kwun Tong) of the Vocational Training Council and the Association’s LOHAS Garden, Tin Yiu Workshop and Jockey Club Elaine Field School , so as to learn more about the pre-employment training for person with disabilities and vocational training service in Hong Kong.
Through the programme, the visitors learnt about the concept of early implementation of pre-employment training, the needs of comprehensive vocational assessment and got to know more about the detailed procedures to provide job opportunities for the service users of different abilities and caring tips for the emotional health of them.
