Jockey Club Keen and Active Kids Project (JCKAK)
The project aims to implement the school-based service model for the support and training of students with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in mainstream primary and secondary schools. The project is funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and supported by the University of Hong Kong (HKU) research team. SAHK is one of the collaborating organisations to implement the project.
Target group(s):- Students with ADHD at mainstream primary and secondary school.
- The parents, teachers and peers of the ADHD students.
- Provide supplemental training to students with ADHD on learning, emotion control, social relations, self-regulation and problem-solving, as well as skills training to improve their executive functions;
- Enhance the expert knowledge and skills of school personnel and parents in meeting the needs of students with ADHD;
- Consolidate good practices with evidence-driven strategies and needs assessments for providing support to students with ADHD.
SAHK has served 36 Support Programmes in each year.
