AIM(Tiered Autism Intervention Model)Project is launched by Education Bureau(EDB) and SAHK is one of the collaborating organisations. The project aims to provide tier-2 support for students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) attending mainstream primary and secondary schools so as to help them make better social and academic integration at school.
AIMT2 has divided into two programmes ,namely "Support Programmes” and "Strength-based Programmes”.

Different evidence-based intervention strategies with tailor-made training themes will be used to facilitate their development according to their needs in different life stages;
- To provide ASD-related knowledge, skills and emotional support for parents with ASD children through individual consultation and support programmes;
- To build up the capacity and capability of school personnel in catering for students with ASD by enhancing their expert knowledge and skills through seminar, workshop and consultation;
- To promote mutual understanding and acceptance among ASD students and their peers in school.
- To facilitate the students applying and generalising the social, communication, executive functioning and adaptive skills that they have learnt in previous structured group training to further consolidate their psycho-social skills and behaviours in naturalistic settings.
- To assist the students to understand their own strengths and weaknesses, coming up with goals and plans to further develop and utilise their strengths and overcome their weaknesses, as well as exploring future study and career choices.
