Employment Service

The sheltered workshop and integrated vocational rehabilitation service units provide vocational training for physically handicapped service users, to cultivate their work habits and skills, and provide support for those in open employment. Work training will included packaging, Chinese computer type setting, mailing etc.

Our trans-disciplinary team will base on the abilities of the service users to adapt their speed of learning as well as the training tools, so that they can overcome their handicap and participate in the work task. We also hire professional tutors to teach them in the areas of painting, ceramics, SAORI, calligraphy, handicraft, computer animation artworks in order to develop different kinds of creative products. The service users will use what they have learnt and be involved in the production line, and they will receive the money from the sold products. Their self confidence will increase through these social activities.

For those in the open employment, we will provide training in office cleaning, laundry, computer application etc. The service users will also have the opportunity to learn skills in retail through working in our coffee shop and gift shop.

Scope of Service:

  • To provide skills training through different production activities and cultivate a work attitude
  • To provide therapeutic service including skills assessment, design in work environment and assistive device, motor training
  • To provide basic care and nursing care, and develop a proper hygiene habit
  • To provide counseling service so as to assist in solving daily living problems
  • To organize small groups and outdoor activities, to promote a healthy mind and body
  • To make referrals to other services, as required.

Service Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8a.m. to 5p.m.

Fee Charges:

According to the policy of Social Welfare Department

Application Procedures

Referrals made by social workers or medical staff through the Central Referral System of Social Welfare Department
