Work in Mainland, Taiwan and Macau

Ms Zhang Haidi, Chairperson of the China Disabled Persons Federation and designated Chairperson of Rehabilitation International, visited the Association’s Jockey Club New Page Inn on the 20th September 2015. The visit helped to enhance Ms Zhang’s understanding of our services for tetraplegic persons and to facilitate the exchange of rehabilitation services between the Mainland and Hong Kong.

Representatives of the Association, including Prof. Leung Nai Kong, Chairperson, Mr. David P. W. Yau, Vice Chairperson, Mr. Fong Cheung Fat, Chief Executive Officer, and Mrs. Louisa Law, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, accompanied Ms Zhang during the visit. Ms Freda Ng, superintendent of the New Page Inn, showed Ms Zhang around the rehabilitation services offered by the Centre.

During the visit, Ms Zhang had a chat with our service users and encouraged them to stay positive in the face of difficulties. She extended the hope that greater cooperation between the Mainland and Hong Kong could be achieved in the area of welfare development for persons with disabilities.
