The Association’s dragon boat teams received gold and silver medal in inclusive dragon boat races
Dragon boat racing not only requires a lot of physical energy, teamwork is also necessary. The Association Shek Wai Kok Parents Resource Centre’s team 「一舉成龍」(Chinese only) founded in 2007, they have always achieved good results in the Sai Kung Dragon Boat Festival Race. During this year’s dragon boat festival, the team has already achieved the 7th straight wins in a row in the Disabled Integration Dragon Boat Invitational Race.
On the 2nd July, they went for another race with 12 members and 14 volunteers including the volunteers from Conpak CPA limited. 2 different teams were made with 「一舉成龍」and「義舉成龍」(Chinese only), joining 「親切TREATS」held in Stanley joining the Treats Inclusive Dragon Boat Race. On that day, even with the weather alternating between sunny and rainy, the members all performed at a consistent level, paddling with conviction and motivation. 「一舉成龍」(Chinese only)had gotten the highest marks and rewarded with the gold medal whilst 「義舉成龍」(Chinese only) got second place.
