Jockey Club Elaine Field School’s drama group performance
The drama group of Jockey Club Elaine Field School created the musical "看見" (Chinese only) and won the Award For Outstanding Performer, Award For Outstanding Stage Effects, Award For Outstanding Cooperation , and Adjudicators' Award at Hong Kong School Drama Festival 2023/24. The drama group was originally scheduled to give a perform publicly at Tuen Mun Town Hall on 31st May 2024. However, due to the impact of the typhoon, the drama group gave a closed performance in the afternoon and filmed the performance before broadcasting it at the Town Hall in the evening. According to the school, this arrangement did not dampen the audience's desire to watch the show, and they applauded enthusiastically when they watched the recording.
The script of "看見" is based on a true story. The protagonist "杜杜” (Chinese only) is a boarding student at a special school suffering from muscular dystrophy who has been raised by his father since childhood. 杜杜was an athlete before his illness, but now he has to rely on a wheelchair to get around, and the sudden loss of contact with his father makes him even more sad. Fortunately, with the encouragement and recommendation of his best friends, 杜杜joined the drama group to rediscover the meaning of life and eliminate despondence on stage.

In December last year, the drama group of Jockey Club Elaine Field School participated in the Hong Kong School Drama Festival and won multiple awards.
The protagonist 杜杜 (right, Chinese only) in the show experienced a low point in his life. Fortunately, his best friend encouraged him and he rediscovered the meaning of life while participating in a drama performance.
