Athletes serve as seniors and accompany the students to grow with optimism
「殘疾運動員大使學長計劃」(Chinese only) organised by Para Athletes and Friends (PAAF), was launched at Ko Fook Iu Memorial School on 8 October. The athletes attending the ceremony included Mr. Daniel CHAN Ho Yuen, Mr. TSANG Chiu Pong, Mr. Tim Wong Chun Yim and Ms CHOI Wing Kei (badminton), Ms HO Yuen Kei (bocce), Ms CHUNG Yuen Ping and Mr. CHAN Wing Kin (fencing), Mr. YU Chun Yin, Matthew (basketball), Mr. SO Wa Wai, Mr. KWOK HAK YIN and Ms FU Long Kei (track and field), Mr. FOO Yuen Wai (sailing), Mr. KO Chi-kin, Derek (canoe), Mr. CHU Kin Wah (triathlon). In this project, 10 current or retired Hong Kong athletes with disabilities serve as "mentors" and interact with 20 students from the Ko Fook Iu Memorial School and the Jockey Club Elaine Field School through various gatherings and outings. The aim is to encourage the students to maintain a positive outlook and face the various challenges in life with optimism.
