Recently, representatives from the China Disabled Persons' Federation (CDPF), including Chairman Mr. CHENG Kai, visited Siu Lam Greenery Villa. They were accompanied by Mr. WONG Kwok Chun, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Services), and Mr. TAM Kam Chi, Chief Social Work Officer (Rehabilitation & Medical Social Services). The delegation received a warm welcome from Ms Louise YIP, former Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Association; Ms Edith HUNG, former Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer; Ms Angel FAN, former Deputy Head (Children and Family Support Service); and Ms Vicky LEE, Superintendent of Siu Lam Greenery Villa.
During their visit, the group toured several advanced high-tech operational facilities, including the Jockey Club automated medication packaging system and the facial recognition anti-wandering system. They also explored various vocational training programs, featuring Mµse Casa products showcased at the "樂陶閣," (Chinese only) as well as laundry services, gardening, and Café Greenery.
In addition to insights from the Association’s management, trainees participated in the tour, sharing their experiences of life and job training and demonstrating the production of Mµse Casa products. The visit concluded at Café Greenery, which recently opened, where the guests enjoyed coffee brewed by the trainees, receiving high praise for its quality.
Mr. CHENG Kai commended Siu Lam Greenery Villa for its beautiful environment and thoughtful support services. He encouraged the students to live, learn, and fully realize their potential within the facility.
The Association extends its heartfelt thanks to the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the Social Welfare Department for taking the time to visit and for their recognition of the Association's services. We look forward to future exchange activities that will broaden our horizons and enhance the quality of services we provide to our service users.
