New Hotline for Parents who were Taking Care of SEN
Thanks to the support and donations from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the Association is able to implement the "Jockey Club InnoPower: Sib Club, which serves brothers and sisters of children with special needs (SEN) and their parents. It is now recruiting members.
The Association understands that parents have to pay more to take care of their children with SEN. They are worried about neglecting other children and may not know how to explain it to them. As brothers and sisters, do you understand your parents' difficulties?
Sib Club has a dedicated parent support hotline, which is answered by social work colleagues, giving parents the opportunity to talk about the difficulties of taking care of their children. Colleagues will provide professional advice to help parents understand that brothers and sisters also have their own emotional needs, thereby eliminating misunderstandings. Trust and understand each other, thereby improving family relationships.
