SAHK x OCBC “Little Seeds・Joyful Learning Heart” Nurturing Scheme” (The Scheme) Kick- off Ceremony
With an exclusive sponsorship of HK$1 million from OCBC Hong Kong, the Association jointly launched a two-year "Joyful Learning Heart" Nurturing Scheme.This scheme aims to promote "Approaches to Learning, AtL”. The focus of AtL is how children learn, helping them to develop a learning heart that not only loves learning but also knows how to learn. Also, the AtL focuses to help teachers and parents better understand what they should do in order to provide suitable learning experiences that support important early learning outcomes.
Reflecting the significance of the collaboration, the Association organised a Kick-off Ceremony on 20 March, Mr. Kenneth LEE, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Association, Ms Angel FAN, Head of Children of Family Support Service, Ms TANG Ka Man, Educational Psychologist, the service users and their parents, as well as Ms Sam CHAN, Head, Brand and Communications of OCBC Hong Kong and volunteers from the Bank joined together.
During the Ceremony, representatives from both parties delivered speeches to share their vision for the Scheme, the Association also premiered the theme song of the AtLSong Series on the eve of World Children's Song Day. Additionally, there was a dance performance by children to accompany the nursery rhymes, showcasing their creativity and artistic talents. After the ceremony, a group of volunteers from OCBCHong Kong collaborated with the children to create potted plants, symbolising the nurturing the quality of learning in their hearts and accompanying them to learn and grow.
In addition to creating children's songs, the scheme will launch a variety of activities, including a Little Seeds coloring contest, a "AtL" fun day, red packets and calendar design, and a range of parent-child activities, community education promotions and teaching research. Stay tuned!
