Under Secretary for Labor and Welfare and members of the Legislative Council visited Greenery Villa

The Siu Lam Integrated Rehabilitation Services Complex, which was officially opened in February this year, which is the local largest rehabilitation facility. Mr. HO Kai-ming, JP (Under Secretary for Labour and Welfare), and several Legislative Council members, including Revd Canon Hon Peter Douglas Koon Ho-ming, BBS, JP, Hon Kenneth LEUNG Yuk-wai, JP, Hon LAM So-wai and Hon CHAN Hoi-yan, visited Greenery Villa operated by the Association in the Services Complex on 15 April, and were greeted by including Mr. Edmond Y. P. LAU (Chief Executive Officer), Ms Edith S. K. HUNG (Deputy Chief Executive Officer), Ms Winnie L. L. Hui (Head of Adult Service) and Ms Vicky K. M. LEE (Superintendent of Greenery Villa).

Greenery Villa serves persons with disabilities aged 15 or above who are in need of vocational training or support, and can provide 310 integrated vocational rehabilitation services and residential service places.

During the visit, Mr. HO and the Legislative Council members toured the Tsing Yuet Inn, Tsing Yau Inn and Greenery Vocational Rehabilitation Centre located in Greenery Villa. They learned about Greenery Villa's service arrangements that focus on connecting with families, utilizing smart technology and rehabilitation equipment, and making effective use of the natural environment to create a safe and comfortable living space for the service users. Apart from the visit, they also exchanged views with the Association regarding the daily operation of the facility, staff training and service quality.

In addition to accommodation services, Greenery Villa also organises different interest groups including ceramics to discover the artistic talents of the trainees.
