The Association’s Vice-Chairperson as Supervising Guest of Mark Six Lottery
As a beneficiary organisation, the Association’s Vice-Chairperson Ms Winnie W. C. Leung attended the Mark Six Lottery Draw of the Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Programme) on 13 August 2024 as the Supervising Guest.
The Programme introduced the Association has been selected by the Social Welfare Department (SWD) as a member of the Pilot Project on Tier 1 Support Services in Kindergartens (KGs)/Kindergarten-cum-Child Care Centres (KG-cum-CCCs) (Tier 1 Pilot Project) since 2020 to provide early intervention services for children who are awaiting assessment by Child Assessment Centres (CACs) under the Department of Health (DH), or assessed to be suffering from borderline developmental problem by the CACs. In September last year, the SWD announced the regularisation of the Project. The Association currently has 8 teams of "On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services" which provides support services to teachers, child care workers, parents and carers of nearly 100 kindergartens and child care centres.
