Work in Mainland, Taiwan and Macau
SAHK is devoted to providing consultation services and visit programmes for mainland rehabilitation organizations. Last month, a mainland visiting group came to our association to see the services we provide for disabled people. The visiting group members represented different organizations from the Department of Civil Affairs of Guangdong Province. The organizations included two hospitals, a welfare center for the homeless, a prosthesis service center and a children's protection center.
After a briefing on the rehabilitation service in Hong Kong and the services provided by the SAHK, a tour was arranged for the group. Three of our training and hostel centers, the Fu Tung Training Centre/Hostel, the Bradbury Wong Tai Sin Hostel and the Lung Tai Hostel, were chosen to showcase our services for different types of disabilities and various levels of severity.
